Our aeroskills pre-vocational courses provide the essential training required to begin a career in aircraft maintenance engineering. Our instructors are highly experienced professionals from Commercial and Defense aviation and aerospace industries
Aviation Australia holds funding approval with the Queensland Government for pre-vocational training in the below qualifications:
MEA40618 Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics)
Learn the skills required to maintain and service complex aircraft electrical, radio, instrument and navigation systems.
MEA40718 Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical)
Gain the knowledge and skills to maintain jet engines, transmission systems, brake and undercarriage systems, structural components, cabin pressurisation, fuel system components, flight controls,hydraulics and much more.
Students will undertake the essential theory training towards the Certificate IV in Aeroskills Avionics or Mechanical.
The training also includes a significant amount of practical training to develop essential hand skills and apprenticeship ready upon course completion.
WHAT TYPE OF TRAINING IS INCLUDED IN THIS PROGRAM?
Students will undertake the essential theory training towards the Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics or Mechanical) including some practical experience on the tools and opportunities to do work experience with the sponsoring companies.


Age:
Minimum 16 years of age
Academic:
Minimum Australian Year 10 (or equivalent) with Grade C or above in English, Maths and Physics. Alternatively successful completion of Aviation Australia’s Language, Literacy and Numeracy aptitude testing.
Eligibility:
Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia living in Queensland, including New Zealand citizens, refugees or humanitarian visa holders.

Please note that course duration, start dates and fees are subject to change and may depend on government funding, sufficient enrolment numbers and changes to CASA Part 66 syllabus.
